There are some occasions when an administrator may need to 'see' what the employee sees, including program branding and employee's history.
This is useful when an employee reports a problem or has difficulty navigating the platform, or if you want to confirm that a gift card voucher code has been loaded to their account. By impersonating them, you can try to reproduce the problem or capture screen shots to illustrate where to locate something.
Good to know
Actions you take while impersonating an employee, for example, giving a recognition or commenting on one, will appear as though the employee made them
Financial transactions cannot be completed via impersonation
- Gift card voucher codes cannot be viewed via impersonation
How to impersonate an employee
From your Administrator account:
- Click the Employees tab
- Locate the employee you want to impersonate
- Click the 3-dot ellipsis to the right of the employee’s row
- Select Login
You are now seeing what the selected employee sees
Note
Any actions you take, for example, giving a recognition or commenting on one, will apply in real time and will appear as if the employee wrote it themselves
- When you are finished impersonating the employee, click the green Back to Admin button in the top margin to return to the admin portal
