Good to know
- Financial or perk rewards can be attached (if available): You configure the reward amount or select up to 3 perks for the recipient to choose from
- Service award recognition posting dates are calculated using the start date stored in employee profiles
- The service award recognition is posted to the wall at 11am in the recipient's time zone

Managers are given 30 days' advance notice of upcoming service awards, and can be given the option to decline an upcoming award or pre-load a congratulatory message that will post below the recognition on the award date
Note
Once submitted, pre-loaded congratulatory messages cannot be edited
- Colleagues (same manager) can be notified about long service awards
- Service awards can be pinned to the top of the wall for up to 5 days
- Service awards can be printed for handing out at a ceremony or hung in a frame
- The service award will get posted to the wall and Workstars TV along with other recognitions
- Contractors can be prevented from receiving a financial reward with their service award
- Contractors cannot be prevented from receiving a perk reward with their service award
How to enable and adjust service award settings
- Login to your Administrator account

Click Add-ons, select Service Awards
Note
If you do not see this, contact your account manager to enable Service Awards
- Click Get Started
- Service Awards - Select Enabled
- Monetary Rewards - Select Yes if you use financial rewards and want to attach them to service awards
- Perk Rewards - Select Yes if you use perks and want to attach them to service awards
- Notify Colleagues - Enable will email colleagues on the award date
- Pin to Wall - Enable will pin the post to the top of the wall for 5 days
- Line Manager Decline -Enable will give line manager 30 days advance notice of award and allow them to decline it
- Printed Certificate - Enable will allow the line manager to print a paper certificate
- Contractor Financial Service Award - Enable will allow contractors to receive financial reward (if available) with their service award
- Click Update Settings to save your changes

Service award settings apply to all service awards you create
How to create a service award
Create a separate service award for each work anniversary/milestone you want to recognize:
- Login to your Administrator account
- Click Add-ons, select Service Awards
- Click the Settings cogwheel
- In the left-nav menu, click Manage Awards
- Click Add Service Award
- Start Date - Date you want to begin recognizing employees for this milestone (for new programs this is usually the Launch date)
- End Date - Leave blank (only used if/when you want the particular service award to stop recognizing on a set date - this is the only way to end a service award)
- Type - Select Long Service (ex 1 year) or Onboarding (ex 1 week)
- Years/Weeks - Select the milestone year or week you are recognizing

Message - Write your own message -or- click Choose Template and select a pre-written message from the list, then click Select Message
Note
- If writing your own message, you must also write your own messages for each language translation that your employees use
- If using a pre-written message template, it will automatically display translated on the Wall
- All Badge titles are automatically translated
- Badge - Click Select Badge, select a badge from the list, then click Select Badge Title
- Select a Badge Title from the list, then click Save Badge
- Select Reward for each country - Select None, Monetary Reward (if available), or Perk Reward (if available); repeat for every country you have configured
- Click Add Service Award
- Repeat for each anniversary/milestone you want to recognize
